Why book a Portfolio Review?

Reading books on photography or watching documentaries are all very inspiring and you a learn a lot from them. But in order to improve your photography you have to look at your own work and really study it and ask yourself these questions: Why do I take the photos I am taking? What patterns are becoming apparent? Do I have an underlying theme that I can not see yet? Do I have a style? How can I find consistency in my work? Is this really my own work or am I copying others? These are all very valid questions that we photographers should ask ourselves. The best way to get answers is to share your work with other photographers. With my Portfolio Reviews I want to help answer those questions. 

What you are getting:

A Video Recording (Full HD MP4 file) of me reviewing your work in detail (around 30Min).
Uploaded to my cloud with a link to watch & download.

FAQ

What work is accepted for the review?
Any body of work you present to me (instagram page, website, project folder, cloud link) in the field of street- & documentary photography is accepted. You can even send me videos or films you are working on. Anything you think I can be helpful with.

How can I make sure I get the most out of your review?
So during the booking process you will be able to write me everything I need to know about your project or work. Be as detailed as possible if you want me to understand you and your background better. Otherwise I will look at the work for what it is.

When can I expect my portfolio review file?
It usually takes me 1-2 days to complete the review and upload it from the moment you shared your work with me.
You will get a e-mail with a link to the file when it's uploaded.

Are there any refunds? What if I am not satisfied with your review?
There are no refunds once the review has been recorded. If you are not satisfied with my review then I am sorry about that, but I always make sure to give a fair and honest review that has helpful advice and suggestions in them. If you book me then you should do that because you want to hear my personal honest opinion and have me find all the details that speak to me.

If I book a workshop with you, will I also get a portfolio review?
Yes and no. Yes, because I do offer a quick analysis of your work in my street photography workshops. No, because you won't get a video file of my portfolio review that consist of a 30 minute long session.

Why a video file? Can we do a Zoom call instead?
I chose the video file solution because I can do the reviews on my own time and not be restricted by appointments. You will also get a portfolio review in a short amount of time (usually within 1-2 days). Scheduling Zoom calls can delay the review further into the future. Of course if you absolutely want to do this live in a Zoom call, there is the option to do that (hit me up and we can arrange it).
